Description

A Philadelphia Chippendale Style Upholstered Mahogany Wingback Chair, 20th Century. Possibly by Frank Auspitz (1923-2002), York, Pennsylvania. The shaped crest rail flanked by shaped wings over outswept arms, raised on square Marlborough legs with block feet, joined by an H-stretcher. Covered in a blue upholstery.

Dimensions: Height 47 1/4in; width 37 3/4in; depth of seat 21 1/2in; depth over all 31in; seat height 18in.

Provenance: Property from the Collection of C. Thomas Attix Jr., East Windsor, New Jersey.

Condition

Structurally sound. General marks, wear, and dust accumulation to the upholstery. The frame with general marks, nick, abrasions, surface scratches ands small losses. Minor stains to the upholstery.
