Description
19th century. Captured during the Insurrection of 1899 and part of the General Harry Bandholtz Collection which won first prize at the 1905 Saint Louis Exposition. 58" length. Forged iron point of characteristic form with clear pattern welded (Damascus) construction. The base with a copper collar, evidently made from a coin. Good woven split cane socket. Tapered hardwood shaft. Fine age character throughout. Likely a generation old before its capture.
