A 1958 Hoyer Special SL electric archtop guitar in natural finish. Owned and played by Randy Bachman, who has sold 40 million records worldwide as a member of The Guess Who, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and as a solo artist. Truly a standout piece from Randy’s collection of mid-century German archtop guitars.

Less ostentatious than the Biankas, the Special SL models are no less impressive thanks to their premium craftsmanship, ornate inlays, and projection. A carved spruce top with multi-layer rope binding and yellowed pearloid purfling, bound catseye sound holes, adjustable chrome bridge on an ebony base and harp tailpiece. The rope binding appears on the maple back and sides as well, with one strip of black material in the center of the sides. A five-piece flame maple neck, six floral button tuners, rope binding on the headstock with a glittery black overlay, with mother of pearl Hoyer Special SL inlays. A 21-fret bound ebony fretboard with mother of pearl bow tie inlays.

Includes tween hardshell case with brown interior.
